Edinburgh – Stirling – Oban
Stirling Castle, one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, both historically and architecturally. The castle sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. Not only a strategic military post due to its geographic location in the Highlands but also the home to such important Scottish monarchs like King James VI and Mary Queen of Scots. Experience for yourself as we enter the world of Scotland’s Renaissance kings and queens.
Oban, a charming coastal town on Scotland’s west coast, often called the “Gateway to the Isles.” Built around a busy harbour, it’s main jumping-off point for ferries to Mull, Iona and the Inner Hebrides. The town blends a relaxed seaside feel with lively pubs and excellent seafood.
Enjoy your evening at leisure in the beautiful seaside town of Oban.

Oban - Glencoe – Fort Williams – Mallaig – ferry to Isle of Skye
Leaving Oban, the road climbs gently out of the harbour town, curling past lochs and lush green hills. Soon, Glencoe emerges, a dramatic gorge of jagged peaks and misty valleys where waterfalls tumble over dark volcanic rock, giving the sense of driving through a living postcard. The route continues toward Fort William, the outdoor capital of the Highlands, nestled beneath the shadow of Ben Nevis, where the mountains press close and the rivers carve silver ribbons thorough the valley. From here, the road stretches west along winding coastal lanes toward Mallaig, the ferry port, with the sea sparkling on one side and hills sloping to the water on the other. Boarding the ferry, the mainland fades, replaced by the open sound and scattered islands, until the first glimpses of Skye rise ahead – rugged cliffs, rolling moors, and a wildness that promises adventure at every turn.

Isle of Skye - Portree
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at Duisdale House before departing for Old Man Storr and a leisure afternoon in Portree.
Old Man of Storr is a 55-metre (180-foot) tall, iconic basalt rock that rises dramatically from the Trotternish Ridge like a jagged stone sentinel, a lone pinnacle of rock pointing toward the Sky. Formed by ancient volcanic activity and massive landslides, this popular landmark is a timeless symbol of Skye’s wild and untamed landscapes. Mist often drifts between the ridges, giving the scene a mystical, almost cinematic atmosphere.
Portree is Skye’s main town, small but bursting with character, nestled around a colourful harbour that spills out into the sheltered waters of the Sound of Raasay. Brightly painted houses line winding streets, giving the town a cheerful, storybook feel against the backdrop of rugged cliffs and rolling hills. Cafés, artisan shops and cozy pubs invite you to linger. Portree feels simultaneously lively and relaxed – a perfect combination of small-town charm.
Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
