Arrive in Dublin and begin your experience as we make our way to Cork, taking in Blarney Castle with the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone. Upon arriving in Killarney, we cross Killarney National Park in a jaunting car with a visit to Ross Castle. This evening join your group for a welcome dinner at the hotel. (D)
Tour the Ring of Kerry - rugged, majestic landscapes and part of the mystical and unspoiled region of Ireland. The road takes you through 10,000 years of dramatic history, from deep forest to the crashing waters of the Atlantic. Learn about the peat bogs and stop for an Irish Coffee. If you have ever wondered how sheep dogs are trained, we have a special visit to the Kells Sheep Centre to learn about the art of sheep hearding with a demonstration (weather permitting). Before our day is complete, visit Murphy's Pub for a "pull-your-own-pint" competition amongst your fellow travellers. Evening at leisure. (B)
Overnight Dromoland Castle Hotel, 2 nights
Depart in the morning, making our way the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland's natural attraction - 700 feet above the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the West of Ireland. As we continue our journey making our way to County Clare, we visit one of the most stunningly unique natural heritage regions in Ireland known as the Burren Region with its 259 square kilometres of dramatic limestone karst. This area of Ireland was largely sculpted over the last two million years by glaciers, exposure and submergence to ice, and by the plate movements of the earth. Tonight feel like royalty as you stay in Dromoland Castle. (B)

Depart for Galway city - where you can wander the cobble-stoned streets and feel yourself stepping back to medieval times. Heading west from Galway City, visit the diverse landscape of Connemara, a colourful road map of communities and hidden gems. Next, we visit Kylemore Abbey – a Benedictine monastery found on the grounds of the Kylemore Castle. Visit the restored rooms of the Abbey and learn about its history of tragedy, romance, education, innovation and spirituality.
As we continue making our way to Westport, we travel across the scenic Doolough Valley (one of Ireland’s most poignant drives. Learn of the Great Famine which occurred in Ireland during the mid 19thcentury, marking one of the most tragic periods in Irish history. As we come into Westport, you will see Croagh Patrick which overlooks Clew Bay and considered the holiest mountain in Ireland, renowned for its Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick. Join your group tonight for a dinner this evening. (B, D)
Achill Island is another one of Ireland’s spectacular and beautiful places. Lashed by the ocean, carved by the wind and swept by the rain. Achill’s rugged landscape features dramatic cliffs, soaring mountains, remote lakes and secluded beaches. Afternoon at leisure in Westport. (B)
Overnight Harvey’s Point, 2nights
This morning we depart making our way to Donegal, located at the mouth of the River Eske and Donegal Bay. Overshadowed by the Bluestack Mountains, the town centre of Donegal is a hub for music, poetic and cultural gatherings. En-route, visit Drumcliffe, the burial site of William Butler Yeats, an Irish poet and one of the foremost figures of 20thcentury literature. Our day includes a visit to the award winning Foxford Woolen Mills. Learn of the origins of the mill from the late 1800’s right through the working mill as it is run today, where you can see first-hand the mastery of tradition, design and craftsmanship. Tonight, enjoy an evening of leisure. (B)
Today we will visit Glenveagh National Park -16,540 hectares (40,873 acres) of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer. A Scottish style castle built in the years 1870 – 1873, is surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Ireland, which contrast with the rugged surroundings. Tonight, is a special evening of fun with a Cabaret Dinner show. (B, D)
Overnight at The Grand Central Hotel Belfast, 1 night
Depart Donegal making our way to Belfast, the vibrant capital of Northern Ireland. Visit and tour the city of Derry, also known as Londonderry – an ancient yet contemporary city. Drive along the ‘Green Glens of Antrim’ to the Giants Causeway, one of Ireland’s most dramatic landscapes and a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site. The Giants Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption, although some will say the outsized footsteps were placed by the giant Finn McCool to fight his rival Benandonner in Scotland. Evening at leisure. (B)
Overnight at The Iveagh Garden Hotel, 2 nights
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Belfast, visiting the west of the city where the protestant Shankill Road meets the Catholic Falls Road. During the tour you will learn the history of the Trouble’s and what happened during the 35 years of conflict, see the Belfast Peace Wall, the political wall murals, Stormont and Parliament buildings, Belfast City Hall and City Centre. Our morning includes a visit to the Titanic Museum, a state- of-the-art interactive exhibition, where you will uncover the true story of the Titanic. Leaving the city limits of Belfast and making our way to Dublin, we pass the granite-mountains of Mourne and travel through the Bourne Valley. We arrive Dublin, voted twice the friendliest city in Europe, as well as being crowned UNESCO City of Literature. Dublin city tour and a visit to St. Patricks Cathedral – check into The Iveagh Garden Hotel. Evening at leisure. (B)
Step back in time with a city walk that takes you back to the days of the flamboyant playwright, Oscar Wilde. Visit his favourite haunts where this literary legend is brought to life! Visit Trinity College, which brings visitors back to the 18thcentury, when the magnificent Old library building was constructed and displays the Book of Kells. We will take a short drive to the Wicklow Mountains with a visit to Powerscourt Estate where the house and gardens overlook the breathtaking Sugarloaf Mountains and voted #3 in the world by National Geographic for their well-kept aristocratic gardens. This evening, enjoy a Farewell dinner with traditional Irish entertainment at the renowned Merry Ploughboys Pub (a ballad group and Irish dancers). (B, D)
After breakfast, we leave the city and transfer to the airport for your flight home, arriving the same day. (B)
