On arrival at Cape Town International Airport we will be met airside by our local representative. Cape Town’s Vibrant city centre lies in a natural amphitheater sheltered by the wide arms of Table Mountain, Signal Hill and Lion’s Head. This tour takes you on a fascinating journey through the city, before heading to the base of Table Mountain. Travel by cable car to the top of the mountain, enjoying spectacular, panoramic views of the city and its mountainous surrounds.
Visit to Robben Island, once used by the South African government as a prison for political prisoners and convicted criminals. It is here that Nelson Mandela was imprisoned before the fall of apartheid. Evening at leisure. (B, L)

Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Follow the curves of the Atlantic coastline along magnificent Marine Driver, past the Twelve Apostles, all the way to the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay. Then wind your way towards the Cape Point Nature Reserve, hugging the spectacular cliff sides of Chapman’s Peak Drive. Catch a ride up the funicular for a view of the place where the two oceans meet, then visit Boulders Beach to view the penguin colony. After lunch, we visit the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden – acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Evening at leisure. (B, L)

This morning, we fly to Livingstone and transfer to Ilala Lodge Hotel. This afternoon, we take a two-hour cruise on The Zambezi Royal - an optimum way to view the beautiful stunning scenery and surrounds of the upper Zambezi River. A variety of game is consistently spotted, such as elephant, hippo, crocodiles, as well as a vast plethora of bird species. Overnight at the Ilala Lodge, where you can relax in luxurious style – listening to the meditative rhythm of the great Zambezi as you drift off to sleep. (B)
Our day begins with a tour of the falls and lunch at Lookout café and an elephant encounter in the afternoon.
The Victoria Falls – Now in its 150 Millionth Year, is truly an awe inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict the reality and nothing prepares you for your first sight. You will be accompanied through the Rainforest by a qualified guide who provides a brief history of the Falls as well as detail of the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife.
Visit the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage – a safe haven to a myriad of orphaned and injured elephants. The elephant encounter will give you the opportunity to unobtrusively interact with some of the biggest personalities in Africa. You will venture out into the bush to spend time with the elephant and the sight of the gentle grey mammals up close and personal. (B, L)
Private transfer to Chobe Game Lodge, enroute a local village tour – meet the people and visit to Chamabondo Primary School (Kasane border crossing from Zimbabwe to Botswana). Enjoy lunch at the lodge and afternoon tea before setting off for an afternoon game activity. Dinner at the lodge.
The Chobe River forms the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park, renowned for its diverse and abundant game viewing opportunities. This section of the park is best know for its dense concentration of wildlife including elephant and hippo populations, and the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them. A visit to this area guarantees close encounters with an array of African wildlife. (B, L, D)
Early morning wake up call, setting out for our game activity. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast before departing on a mid-morning boat cruise where you may spot rare birdlife.
